COVID-19 Policies
In an attempt to keep AnniCon as safe as possible for everyone attending, AnniCon will be implementing the following policies regarding COVID-19. These policies apply to all Attendees, Special Guests, Panelists, Vendors, and Volunteers.

In an attempt to keep AnniCon as safe as possible for everyone attending, AnniCon will be implementing the following policies regarding COVID-19. These policies apply to all Attendees, Special Guests, Panelists, Vendors, and Volunteers.
- Masks are required for everyone over the age of 2 years old in all event spaces regardless of vaccination status.
- Masks must be worn correctly.
- Masks may be removed to eat or drink, but should be replaced promptly and before moving around the event space.
- Masks must cover both your mouth and nose, fit snugly against your face, and be made with at least 2 layers of breathable, non-mesh material. They must be secured and allow you to remain hands-free
- Masks may *not* be neck gaiters, t-shirts, bandanas or scarves, and may not have a release valve.
- Special Guests and Panelists may remove their mask onstage while appropriately distanced, but must replace their mask while off-stage.
- Masks may be removed briefly for photos with the consent of everyone in the photo, but should be replaced as soon as the photo is completed.
- AnniCon will have limited quantities of surgical-type masks for sale for $1. Do not count on the availability of these masks.
- Masks must be worn correctly.
- Proof of vaccination, either by a vaccination card or on a smartphone is required for everyone over the age of 12.
- Attendees 18+ will need to show photo ID.
- Attendees younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult with a photo ID.
- If using a photo of a vaccination card, clear pictures of the front and back showing your name and at least one other identifier (birth date, etc) are required.
- The second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or the J&J vaccination must be done on or before March 19th, 2022. If the final vaccination is after this date, a negative test is still required.
- Attendees 18+ will need to show photo ID.
- Attendees who are not vaccinated, are too young to be vaccinated, or choose not to show their proof of vaccination will have to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test, taken within 72 hours of the event.
- Tests must be taken within 72 hours of the event, but you must bring your test results or vaccination card with you. Do not come to the event without a negative test or vaccine card. We will not accept at home tests done on the premises.
- At-home tests will be accepted; however, the test must meet these requirements:
- The test must be a SARS-CoV-2 viral test (nucleic acid amplification test [NAAT] or antigen test) with Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
- The testing procedure must include a telehealth service affiliated with the manufacturer of the test that provides real-time supervision remotely through an audio and video connection. Some FDA-authorized self-tests that include a telehealth service may require a prescription.
- The telehealth provider must confirm the person’s identity, observe the specimen collection and testing procedures, confirm the test result, and issue a report that includes:
- Type of test (indicating it is a NAAT or antigen test)
- Entity issuing the result (e.g. laboratory, healthcare entity, or telehealth service)
- Specimen collection date. A negative test result must show the specimen was collected within the 3 days before the badge pick up. A positive test result for documentation of recovery from COVID-19 must show the specimen was collected within the 3 months before the badge pick up.
- Information that identifies the person (full name plus at least one other identifier such as date of birth or passport number)
- Test Result

- Anyone with a medical mask exemption must provide written documentation from an appropriate medical professional of the need for the exemption as well as a negative COVID-19 test.
- Everyone will receive a wristband upon entering the event space to show compliance with these policies. Wristbands should be worn visibly the entire day. Staff may ask to see the wristband if it is not easily visible.
- Individuals with a mask exemption will receive a sticker for their wristband. Staff may ask to see these stickers if they’re not easily visible.

- Everyone in the event space should try to social distance (6+ feet apart) as much as possible. Staff may ask you to spread out or return when there are fewer people in the area.
