The Cosplay Contest for 2022 will be held exclusively ONLINE.

There will be an entry limit of 50 this year.
Contest registration is only complete when all completed criteria have been met and sent in to our Contest organizers.
Registration will be open from April 2 - April 22 or until all 50 slots are filled.
All spots will be on a first-come, first-serve basis during AnniCon's Online Cosplay Contest.

Categories
Categories include:
Judges have the ability, based on their assessment of your costume, to move you up or down in categories as they see fit. Judges may also disqualify any entries falsely claiming someone else's work as their own.
Original designs will be allowed in the form of Gajinkas
(Examples: Pokemon human designs like eevee-lutions, monster or animal characters in human design).
Reference photos and concept images will be required. If you have questions, please send an email to cosplay@annicon.com.
Original Characters (OCs) will not be accepted due to limited source material and lack of reference/concept images.
Prizes
Categories include:
- Group
- Made up of up to two contestants wishing to be judged together (image submission must be made together)
- Beginner
- New to cosplay. Limited skills or closet cosplay (made from altering existing garments).
- Intermediate
- Compeltely made from scratch garments. Handcrafted props/accessories.
- More developed skills like sewing, foam smithing, painting, wig work, and prosthetics.
- Masters
- Very well versed in one or more of the skills listed above and other realted skills.
- Have completed at much larger conventions.
- Have received awards for the craftsmanship at other cosplay contests.
- Please show us your newest work and politely ask not to enter with costumes that have already received awards.

Our Rules and Regulations
- All entries must meet all registry requirements by the announced deadlines.
- There will be a limit of 50 entries this year.
- Failure to follow these rules and guidelines can result in disqualification from the contest and the forfeit of any prizes.
- Contacting any judges during the judging period or messages sent before or after with the intent to draw attention to oneself, haras, or disagree with a judge's decision will not be tolerated. The judges we select are talented members of the cosplay community and are very willing to give feedback or helpful advice if asked after the contest is completed. Anyone acting disrespectful, arguing, or harassing judges may be banned from competing in future Annicon Cosplay Contests.
- This is a family friendly event, so all competing in the contest will abide by all of our rules and regulations as set forth by the convention’s committees, and the rules of our facilities.
- Annicon has the right to use submitted images on social media and promotional content. Parental approval will be required for contestants under the age of 18.
- No Nudity. No costume is no costume, and will immediately be disqualified.
- Images with excessive gore/blood, drugs, vulgar content, or potentially offensive materials can not be used for submitted images and will not meet entry qualifications
- One entry per-person (you may not be a single entry and part of a group.)
- Original Characters (OCs) will not be accepted this year do to limited source material and concept and reference images
- *All contestants must submit a reference photo with the entry images.
- All Awards are at the judge’s discretion.
- Skits will not be accepted into the Costume Contest.
